Formulation Scientist – Chiesi

Chiesi is recruiting a Formulation Scientist to work at their site in Chippenham.

Reporting to the Head of Formulation and Process Development, the Formulation Scientist serves as technical resource to support the pharmaceutical development (formulation and process) of New Chemical Entities for inhalation focusing on candidate selection and formulation feasibility for early clinical phase. Moreover, the Formulation Scientist will be involved in the development of novel formulation platforms and lifecycle management activities.

The Formulation Scientist will actively support an environment of formulation, technical innovation, and continuous improvement. 

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to details, and the ability to follow often complex operating procedures. Some work experience in a job that requires these skills is preferred (such as R&D environment, development of inhaled formulations etc.); however different backgrounds will be considered.

The candidate will be joining a well-established and growing CMC team in the UK, offering excellent career progression, training, and job stability.

The Formulation Scientist will work within a mixed matrix team (Project management, QA, QC, Analytical etc.) and external contractors to support the development activities to achieve project objectives. This individual will be involved in technical support regarding cGMP compliance and process improvements.
